Accommodation

Woodland Court

Full-time delegates and those booking bed and breakfast for individual nights will be accommodated on the University of Bath campus. Rooms will be located within Woodland Court, each with its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink.

We will try, as far as possible, to locate delegates from the same institution in rooms close to each other. If you have any special requests, please let us know when registering and we will try to accommodate them.

The nearest car park to Woodland Court is East Car Park.

Room facilities

Bedroom

You can take a virtual tour of a single en-suite bedroom and a shared kitchen in Woodland Court (decorative items not included).

Bedding is provided and all rooms are en-suite with free Wi-Fi.

There are no TVs, hairdryers or kettles in the bedrooms. However, each shared kitchen contains:

  • fridge-freezer
  • electric hob and oven
  • microwave
  • vacuum cleaner
  • recycling facilities

Check-in

You will be able to collect your room key from the accommodation check-in desk, which will be in Chancellors’ Building during peak conference times. At other times, you can check-in at the East Accommodation Centre, which is open until midnight. It is also manned by security staff from midnight until 4am.

Check-out

You will be required to vacate your bedroom by 10am on your day of departure.

Luggage store

A secure room will be available in Chancellors' Building, within which you can leave luggage on your day of arrival and departure, should you require it. Please be aware that neither MEI nor the University of Bath can take responsibility for any items stored in this way.

Accessibility

Visit AccessAble for detailed information on the accessibility of Woodland Court.

Please inform MEI prior to arrival, preferably when you first book, of any additional needs you have, including special arrangements that need to be put in place for the unlikely event of an evacuation.

Wednesday and Saturday night accommodation

Bed and breakfast accommodation for the night of Wednesday 1 July is available for those who would find it more convenient to arrive the night before the conference. This is also available for the night of Saturday 4 July, for those who would prefer to leave the day after the conference ends. These options are available to book at the time of registration.

Please note that the University of Bath is unable to provide an evening meal on either Wednesday or Saturday, so delegates staying on either of those nights will need to make their own arrangements. Information on eating and drinking in Bath can be found on the visitBath website.
